Recap of the night that set Club Therapy on fire…
We came, we partied, we conquered.
Friday February 6 , 2015 is a night many will never forget. Conquer Entertainment brought our crew and packed out Therapy nightclub in Downtown Miami. As the line wrapped around the block and VIPs snapped photos on the red carpet, we popped a few bottles of Lucky Player Vodka, and the night’s journey began.
Melion kicked off the show in smooth style. As the crowd filled the club, Melion got the party started with positive energy, playing his catchy hip-hop/R & B jams, and setting the stage with good vibes.
DJ KBeeta spun a dope opening set, then handed off DJ duties to Miami’s own legendary DJ Affect. Affect maniupulated the crowd like a pro, getting the whole room dancing and having a great time, while MCing as well.
Next on stage was Kiyan, EDM rapper and self-dubbed “persian prince.” Kiyan started in a winter coat and kept peeling off the layers until he was chiseled abs. His EDM musical style was a good fit for the city of Miami.
As the party kept heating up, with both the VIP sections and dancefloor packed out, Klutch took the stage. He and his hype man rapped through their set, and the crowd was definitely feeling it. After his set, word got out that special guest Lil Mama was in the house, with Fat Joe on the way.
Next, Shiragirl took over the stage: she was definitely feeling the crowd, and the feeling was mutual. Shira and her dancers worked their way through a set of EDM/dance pop songs complete with choreography and theatrical routines, oozing with attitude, using various props from chains to guns. Justina joined her onstage for a guest rap during the last song.
Justina Valentine was up next with her own set. The outspoken redhead and her guitarist Randy Haze rocked the $%&* out, bringing their Jersey hip-hop swag to MIA. From her rap skills to her soulful voice to her bright red, long hair whipping around, Justina commanded attention from the entire room.
In the night’s most surprising appearance, the legendary Brooklyn femme fatale Lil Mama then graced the stage, with an incredible acapella rap- setting the crowd off! The crowd was left hungry for more, and thankfully, Fat Joe was en route.
JB, the Conquer artist formerly known as Black, then hopped onstage to perform a song with his crew. In the midst of his performance, Fat Joe and his entourage entered the club, headed straight for the DJ booth.
Fat Joe and his Terror Squad then seized the stage, and the crowd went wild. Joe spoke about Conquer Entertainment changing the future of the music industry for artists. “Most artists spend their time being artists, but you gotta pay the bills, and if you don’t get a business out of it, and take advantage of the opportunities, it’ll be hard for you to succeed in this business. With Conquer, we show you how to be entrepreneurs… Listen, Conquer is gonna get bigger and bigger and bigger…”
Joe then introduced Justina to do a freestyle session, with him giving her topics to rap about. She rose to the occasion, spitting about subjects from Joe’s buddy Chef, to Market America’s cashback movement. Joe then headlined the night with his classic hit song “Lean Back,” including an acapella section where he asked the crowd to help him sing along.
At this point, the night got blurry for many people at the club, who had been enjoying Lucky Player Vodka all night long. The crowd continued to dance and party, while snacking on bags of chips from our sponsor Kettle Brand. Therapy’s resident Friday night DJ took over the decks, while Shiragirl’s dancers Liz and Delaney took over the pole, dancing back in the VIP section. We can’t tell you much more, because some of what happens in Miami, stays in Miami…
We can tell you one thing though: Conquer conquered Miami.
